Hi, I’m Meg — a marine conservationist with a passion for protecting our oceans and the communities connected to them. My experience spans science, policy, and education, and I love working at the intersection of people and the sea. Whether in the field, underwater, or behind the data, I’m driven by a belief that conservation works best when it’s collaborative, evidence-based, and rooted in real-world impact.

Areas of Expertise

My work and interests sit at the intersection of marine science, conservation, and education, grounded in a strong academic foundation and shaped by hands-on experience across diverse environments. I hold an MSc in Island Biogeography and Conservation and a BSc in Ocean Science and Marine Conservation, with expertise spanning field research, data analysis, GIS, and science communication.

I’ve contributed to government-led fisheries and wildlife policy, supported conservation outreach, and gathered data on marine megafauna across multiple regions.

Alongside this, I bring practical skills as a PADI Divemaster, powerboat operator, and outdoor first aid responder, and have taught climbing and adventure sports in community and educational settings. This combination of scientific knowledge, field skills, and public engagement allows me to work fluidly between research, policy, and the lived realities of conservation on the ground and in the water.
